Let's cross!

It’s been a busy few weeks in the world of cyclocross. Following the World Cup starting in USA, riders have been battling on both sides of the Atlantic as they look to build form ahead of the opening European World Cup. There was a win for Alicia Frank in Mlada Boleslav backed up with a 2nd place in Gp Poprad. Alicia is flighting her way back up the UCI ranking after missing much of last season due to illness.

In the USA, a first chance for riders to see the course at Fayetteville lead to a world class field fighting it out to honours. The course which will host the World Championships in a couple of season saw some great battles over the weekend, with Maghalie Rochette leading a Challenge supported 1, 2, 3 ahead of Caroline Mani and Clara Honsinger. Sundays saw Clara flight back to take the win on Sunday.

The 2nd round of the UK National Series was dominated by Ian Field, ahead of Gosse van der Meer who got some redemption from a difficult first round in the series.

It was then time for some action off the field as Trinity Racing launched in London ahead of the season debuts for Tom Pidcock, Cameron Mason and Abby-Mae Parkinson.

At the US Open of Cross, Katie Compton got back to winning ways on day 1 ahead of Clara. Tobin Ortenblad showed his improving form with 8th place on day 2. Clara once again showed her strength on day 2, taking the win on Sunday.

Eva Lechner took a strong 4th place in the opening round of the Super Prestige in Gieten, with Thibau Nys taking the win in yet another strong performance.

Next up is World Cup Bern and Challenge will be there to support the riders and also sponsor the gravel rides. If you’re in town, be sure to pass by.
