It might still be early season but World Cup season is very much here. With temperatures rising during the week in Waterloo WI, it was always going to be a dry event on Sunday for the first round of the UCI Telenet World Cup. However the riders got an early season treat with some softer conditions on Friday.
Riding much of the World Cup Circuit, it was still a fast and furious race as many of the sports leading names took to the course at the Trek HQ in Wisconsin. A lead group of 5 was just out of reach of brand ambassador Helen Wyman who would finish 6th. It was twice U23 World Champion Evie Richards that would come out on top in a Trek 1-2-3, ahead of Ellen Noble and Ellen van Loy.
