World Cup Tabor and breakthrough results

Major Taylor Cup in Indianapolis kicked off the weekend for riders in the USA and it was a great start for young challenge rider Caleb Swartz. Taking 3rd place, and in doing so his first ever UCI podium, we’d like to extend our congratulations to Caleb (His report can be seen here His sister Emma of Trek Factory Team took her best over UCI results as well with a 2nd and 3rd in the elite women’s event. Caroline Mani took 5th and 7th.

In Japan at Rapha Supercross Garry Millburn continued his strong season with 5th

place. In the women’s race Fiona Morris took 5th place. On Sunday in the Kansai CX, Garry took a podium sport with 3rd.

The biggest event of the weekend was the Telenet UCI World Cup in Tabor Czech Republic. Ellen can Loy continued her great form with 4th in the women’s race. Thomas Pidcock powered to the win in the U23 race ahead of a fantastic 5th place for teammate Daniel Tulett. Thibau Nys took a stunning silver medal with local star Jakub Toupalik in 4th place.

Sunday’s big events were split between Switzerland and Belgium. In the EKZ series in Hittnau it was podium finish after taking the early lead for Christine Majerus. After a first corner crash Maghalie Rochette chased back to 4th. In the elite men’s race it was Francis Mourey took 6th with Steve Chainel close behind in 7th.

The DVV Series continued in Belgium at Hamme. Ellen van Loy once again finished on the podium with 3rd with Katherine Compton and Eve Lechner securing top 10 finishes. Following his podium in Czech Republic, Thibau Nys took the win the junior men’s race. Thomas Pidcock narrowly missed the top 10 in the Elite men’s race finishing 11th.
